What to wear
Bring a shawl after ten — it is four degrees cooler down there.
The room
The first landing of the stepwell, with the water two levels below and the walls holding the cold all day. Twenty-eight seats, no music before nine, and a list of eleven drinks that changes when the kachri stops coming.
Worth knowing. Under-18s are welcome until nine. After that the landing is adults only, which is a fire rule about the stair rather than a house rule about children.
