Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya · 15 km · 32 minutes by road. Daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Tell us the flight and a car waits inside arrivals.
By rail
Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station · 6.2 km · 17 minutes by road. The Vande Bharat from Delhi comes in mid-afternoon; we hold lunch for it.
By rail
Ayodhya Cantt railway station · 12.5 km · 28 minutes by road. Most overnight trains from Lucknow, Varanasi and Kolkata stop here rather than at Ayodhya Dham.
By air
Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow · 146 km · 170 minutes by road. More flights than Ayodhya, and under three hours by car on NH-27. We can send the car.

What we lose we pay for, at ten times the laundry charge for that piece, capped at what it cost new.

In the house

- Free, everywhere including the roof and the baoli. No login, no voucher, no landing page.
- Housekeeping
- Twice daily — a service in the morning and a turn-down after six. Say the word and we will leave you alone entirely.
- A doctor
- On call around the clock, at the hospital eight minutes away. The desk will go with you.
- Paying
- Cards, UPI and cash in rupees. We do not hold your card for incidentals; the bill is settled once, at the end.
- Smoking
- Not indoors. The courtyard, the roof and the lane are yours, and there are ashtrays on both terraces.
- The stairs
- This is an old house and there is no lift. Four rooms and one treatment room are on the ground floor — tell us when you book and we will keep you there.
- Bags
- Left with the desk before check-in and after checkout, for as long as you need, at no charge.
Frequently asked
Do you add a service charge?
No. Prices are before GST at 18%, which is added at checkout and shown on your bill as a separate line. Tipping is entirely optional; anything left goes into a pool split across the whole house, kitchen included.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation until seven days before arrival. Inside seven days the first night is charged. Non-refundable rates, which save fifteen per cent, are charged in full when you book and are not returned.
What time can I check in?
From 14:00, and out by 12:00. If the room is ready we will give it to you early, and we usually can before one o'clock. A guaranteed checkout at 18:00 can be added to any booking, at no charge, if you ask when you book.
Is there a dress code?
Not really. Chhat, on the roof, asks that men wear a collar at dinner. Everywhere else, wear what you are comfortable in — it is forty-two degrees in May and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Do you take dogs?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Chowk Rooms and the Baoli Suite, at ₹2,500 a night. Not in the restaurants, and not in the pool, which we have had to say before.
Can I bring children?
Yes, gladly. Children under six stay free in an existing bed. The Zenana Apartment is the room families take. We keep cots, high chairs and a box of things to do, and the kitchen will cook plainly on request.
How far is the airport?
Ayodhya (JDH) is thirty-five minutes by road, and there are direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai daily. The station is fifteen minutes. We will send a car for either — ₹4,500 return, and the driver waits inside arrivals with your name.
